You're right, it has been a pretty busy day! lol

And in another sense, it's right that people are spending time trying to disprove something that has set itself up as unprovable.

However whilst some people are doing it to try and get rid of the chip on their shoulder, some are doing it because they feel that religion is actually bad or dangerous for the world. (E.g. the Richard Dawkins approach).

I personally agree that that is the case, although often I'm not bothered to air my view that strongly.

I've never heard anybody try to disprove the existence of atheists.

I personally know quite a few of them. I know they exist.

Next time somebody tells you atheists don't exist, you just tell them to come talk to me.

Conventionally, atheists exist; but ultimately, no one does. At least not from their own side. It is merely a designation assigned to a collection of aggregates subject to the momentariness having the three: production, abiding and cessation.

There you go again! I almost had my boss convinced I didn't have to attend a 4:00 PM meeting on the basis that I didn't exist. (She commented that "a bit too much" of me exists. That's a very un-PC comment on my weight.)

less than 100 years ago nearly everyone in the whole world believed in one religion or another and its kinda like turning your back on humanity but personally i don't get put down for being an atheist!

There is a direct correlation between people trying harder to prove atheists don't exist, and the increasing popularity of methamphetamine.

Pay back I'm guessing?
I honestly have not noticed. Seems like the same old stuff from both sides to me.

YOU define "existence" for me and I will tell you what does and does not fulfill it.

And if you cannot objectively define existence (and I don't expect you can), then arguing whether certain things objectively do or do not do so is arbitrary.

Because it takes massive efforts sometimes to prove the truth. lol

Out of existence, out of mind.

Unless you're a theist.
