how can i get my 2 year old to stop sucking her thumb.?

she's very smart, but wont stop. she says, "i need to suck my thumb." it's the same thing with potty training, she's just stubborn. she knows what to do, just wont do it.

ask my mom she tried for 19 yrs. and I still do once in a while.
When I was small It was about security along with the security blanket...you know It feels good .It's very relaxing.. I can't tell you how to make her stop cause I haven't fully stopped myself
p.s. I have perfectly straight teeth!
