Use a shampoo that has zinc or tar as the active ingredient. I like Neutrogena T-Gel shampoo w/conditioner

Try over the counter shampoos first. Head and Shoulders; Selson Blue; T Gel, all of which can be found at walmart or any pharmacy store such as walgreens or cvs. If the dandruff continues, then I suggest making an appointment with a dermatologist.

I use to work as a Hairstylist, and the best solution for that problem, is a scalp treatment, basically what u do is have your stylist or a friend scratch your scalp with a fine comb by small sections to remove any flakes, them shampoo with a clarifying shampoo, use a conditioner if necessary. Most of the times the reason for that problem is product build up, not enough moisture, or some times oily scalp. Do this every week if u can or every other week.

If you live on an Island, or any other area which as water body near it, you will have that problem. Shampoos won't work. Try using some oil (coconut or any other hair oil).

well.i usually do this.
after washing your hair with shampoo & conditioner, rinse it thouroughly.then take a mug of water & add 2 table spoons of vinegar into it.rinse your hair with this mixture at the end.DON'T rinse your hair again at the end.the vinegar will keep away dandruff for a couple of days.do this for long term treatment.
good luck! :)
