I am running Windows 98 and I wiped my computer out accidentally. I re-installed Vistascan which is the driver I need to run my Umax scanner but it can't find my scanner. Everything worked fine before my big error.

I never heard of Vistascan until your question. With a little searching, I found these links. See if they will help.

Are you sure you have the VISTA compatable drivers for the scanner?

Go to the web site for the company that made the scanner and download the VISTA compatable drivers (If they have them out yet) Install the drivers and VISTA should then find the scanner.

It might not be compatible with Windows 98. You'll have to get a later version of Windows. (Windows 2000/XP/Vista)
