Bronzino's portrait of Eleanora c. 1550 shows her to a little larger. Michelangelo's Eve receiving the apple from Satan in the Sistine ceiling shows her having pretty big thighs. Franz Hals' "Malle Babbe" shows an overweight peasant woman. Both Delacroix's and Ingres' "Odalisque." Van Eyck's "Giovanni Arnolfini and Bride" c. 1434 shows a woman looking pregnant, but historically she is not believed to have been so. Giorgione's "The Concert" (1510) shows a very heavy set pair of nude women in a flattering manner. {This is probably the type of image you'll like.} Rubens' "The abduction of the Daughters of Leucippus" (1616) also attractively depicts a pair of nude heavier women. {So do many other Rubens works} Rembrandt's "Family Portrait" (1668) also shows a well dressed heavy-set matron.

Hope those examples help.

How about the Virgin Mary? I wouldn't say "large" in a bad way but by today's standards I guess you could say that.
