No ready made sauces, or frozen dinners.
I make absolutely everything myself, apart from bread. I make all my own sauces for pasta dishes, curries, chinese, everything from scratch.

post your e-mail and we can exchange.

I work too, my husband and I run a business and we take care of our 9 month old baby.
I usually have the dinner on the night before or very early the next morning.
I wasnt trying to say I was a delia smith, I was just asking what people prefered

good job, lynn! i do the same 5 nights a week, and really enjoy the relaxation ,healthfulness and creativity of doing it all "from scratch>"but,on fri and sat nights,we either go out or order in.i do the dinners,we all fend for ourselves at lunch, and my husband does the breakfasts,he also enjoys following the entire cooking process.fortunately,he likes to wake up early,so he has time to do all this!bon appetit!!!!!

Very rarely do I not cook from scratch. I keep some things on hand for when I've had a bad day, but everything else I put together. Especially baking. I make the most awesome chocolate cake. (Recipe on Hershey's cocoa.) I can't stand boxed desserts.
Plus, that plastic frosting that comes in a can is disgusting.

Unfortunately (or possibly fortunately in this day and age!) To feed my family of 5 kids (plus any one elses who turn up) I cook everything I mean EVERYTHING from scratch. I must admit I do freeze a lot of my stuff so it is like having convenience foods but I enjoy it I know what goes into it and the kids love it and they eat all their veggies too just cos that's what they are used to!

Half and half really, most of the time I will do my own sauces

but some days it is alot quicker to just add a sauce, but the kids always prefer my homemade sauces

I cook for myself I like doing it from scratch but just to be practical you got to at least make shortcuts too! But if I make food from scratch I make sure I have plenty so I can keep some of it & use them later.

I cant claim to make all the sauce etc myself, but I do do a full homecooked meal everynight, even though there are only 2 of us. I enjoy it.

Depends on what I am cooking and how much time I have. However, when I bake something it is always from scratch. I make cookies, cakes, candies, pies all from scratch and that includes any icings and pie crusts etc.

Yes, nice one! Nothing frozen or ready made in my house either, but I can't improve on the Indian stuff I get. As to the Chinese taste, I can't get anywhere near it. Do tell!

I'm a working mum with two kids. As soon as I get home they need feeding (literally as I get thru the door). Don't have the time though ocassionally make the effort on Saturday's. Maybe if I lived on my own with no husband or kids I do it more.
