my best friend knew that i liked him and he liked me too but he didnt want anything more than that. it didnt make things weird but i couldnt stand my feelings growing more everyday so i had 2 get over him and move on, now we;re not friends anymore but i found someone that i love and loves me back, i know its kind of sad about losing a friendshiop but somtimes in order to move on u need to get that person away, maybe u can move on wihtout ruining the friendship. or maybe she likes u back and wants more....
good luck buddy.

You need to make a stand! Forget all that asking out stuff. you are past that.
Take the right opportunity when she is laughing and having a really good time with you, then just put your arms around her and kiss her without hesitation. Make it soft and tender then just walk away without saying a word. She will either kiss you back eventually or she will hit you. If she hits you, then you apologize. She will probably ask you why you did it, then you tell her how you feel then walk away.
This will give her time to think and will change her perspective of you. You will become a prospect instead of a friend. No matter what the outcome it is better than enduring the perpetual friend zone.
Good luck and Godspeed!

TAKE IT EASY
First things first... be prepared for either answer. As easy as she can say yes, she can also say no.
Since she's your best friend, I would assume she thinks of you the same, therefore you probably know of any guy(s) that she might like... if any... if you know she's hooked on someone else... don't do it yet... if you know that area is clear, you can make the next step...
Don't try that whole thing where you take her to the movies and do this and that and wait to see what she does... That will just make you look childish... girls are not that stupid, she'll know something's up...
Talk to her, take her out the park for a walk or have dinner at a nice calm restaurant... it needs to be a place where all she can pay attention is you and not get easily distracted... Tell her how you feel... and most importantly, you'll respect any decision she makes.

Don't ask her out in a romantic way. Tell her your going to the movies on saturday, and ask her would she like to join, as in an outing that ur already doing and just wanted see if she wanted to come. Its like an invitation not a date then see how that goes! She's ur bestfriend so there's a pretty good chance of her coming.

you may already be on the friend ladder, if you're the nice guy who listens, it's already too late, if this is the case, you're only good friends because you want to be with her, but once you realize that, it's going to change the whole relationship

Don't ask her straight out. Joke around about it for awhile to test the water. See if she bites.

Just accept it and be friends. Maybe she will change her mind later.

what is your def of "ask out"?
If your best friends the next step should just be the next step without any "asking out" (?)
