You're going to be indoors with not the best lighting. Ilford makes a 3200 speed film that is sure to freeze action in that lighting. But the big factor is the apeture size of the lens. f/4 and f/2.8 are recommended.

Kodak makes an 800 iso color print film called UltraMax 800 for 35mm. A professional game is going to be well-lit, but you'll still want the extra speed so you can stop down for deeper focus. If the action is at a right angle to you, that is coming towards or away from you, you can use a slower shutter speed than if you are trying to freeze a player moving across your frame, that is right to left or left to right. In some cases the blur may work well for you. Should be fun to shoot- lots of motion.

If you do it right you can use a lot of film (800 is the best though), but a lot of it also has to do with shutter speed (not only film)
