Forget the lottery....

What are your odds on winning on a scratch ticket?

Small amount?

Big amount?

Thanks!

Something cool about scratch tickets is that you can look on the back for individual odds. Atleast Washington State's Gambling Commission mandates that everything be listed on the back of the ticket. As far as big or small, you'd probably have to check your state's lottery website or get a payout sheet with how many big winners there are and how many tickets were made.

But just read the back of the ticket and you should find something saying "Overall odds of winning are 1:3.50" or something like that, meaning you'll winn some prize, big or small, once in roughly every 3 and a half tickets, or whatever the ratio may be.

Honestly, the odds are still quite poor.

In my state the odds of winning on a scratch ticket are very low and mostly small amounts......very few large ones......our governor is trying to get a change in order so that we can have more winners as people are losing interest in it.....he thinks if there are more winning tickets the sales will pick up....our lottery just started here last fall.

It depends on how many places there are to scratch and how much you are allowed to scratch. I'd say the odds aren't that good. =) Sorry.
