If police were investigating a predominantly African-American street gang for involvement in drug sales, would this be considered racial profiling or would it be considered profiling?

Should we be screening little old ladies at airports? No, of course not. Young Arab men are the only ethnic group trying to blow up airplanes. If a gang of little old ladies got together and said they would blow up planes, then we should screen them to. Political correctness is a major flaw of our society and may lead to greater threats to our security.

the key word is predominantly, and if drugs are involved they can profile who ever they want

Give it up. They have to strip search little old ladies with canes to prove that they aren't racist. The cops themselves don't have a problem with this because it means you have to hire more of them to make sure what has to get done gets done and because little old ladies aren't going to harm anyone.

Except the ones in burkhas...
