Some people say He had a mullet, but He didn't look or act like a hippie.

God doesn't look like Zeus. Zeus is half-naked in his toga, while Jehovah is clothed in white robes similar to that of an ancient Jewish King. plus, He has a gold cepter, not lightning bolts. And I doubt He looks old....

the Holy Spirit can take any form He wants: dove, wind, man, angel-esque....cause He's a spirit, so isn't subjected to form or quantity.

In my house, the Holy Spirit looks like a Japanese man. In your house, it could be an African-American man with big hair.
Oops, my wife just walked in...
As I was saying, the Holy Spirit looks like a beautiful woman with a new hair-do. And smells nice, too.

HAVE YOU ever seen the gravitational or the actual electro-magnetic forces? Holy spirit or "active force", "dynamic energy"--all Biblical references to the same marvelous tool of God --cannot be seen either, only what it manifests--used in creation, parting the Red Sea, planting the seed of Jesus in Mary's womb etc.

(Genesis 1:2) “2 Now the earth proved to be formless and waste and there was darkness upon the surface of [the] watery deep; and God’s active force was moving to and fro over the surface of the waters.”

FOOTNOTE
“And . . . active force (spirit).” Heb., weru′ach. Besides being translated “spirit,” ru′ach is also translated “wind” and by other words that denote an invisible active force. See 3:8 ftn, “Breezy part”; 8:1 ftn.

(Isaiah 40:26) “26 “Raise YOUR eyes high up and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who is bringing forth the army of them even by number, all of whom he calls even by name. Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, he also being vigorous in power, not one [of them] is missing.”

E=mc2 shows the works of God's "dynamic energy"--some 2500 years before Einstein's equation.

MARY'S EXPERIENCE:

(Luke 1:34-36) “34 But Mary said to the angel: “How is this to be, since I am having no intercourse with a man?” 35 In answer the angel said to her: “Holy spirit will come upon you, and power of the Most High will overshadow you. For that reason also what is born will be called holy, God’s Son.

Commonly the Holy Spirit is represented as either tongues of fire or a dove.

I am not sure I am thinking of this correctly but I always think of The Holy Spirit as the power of God, therefore it is formless.

In my childhood I was accustomed to seeing the Holy Ghost represented as streptopelia risoria - the common white dove. Yes, one part of the trinity is a kind of pigeon.
