Me and my ex have been broken up for a while. I've hardly talked to him and never see him unless I run into him somewhere even then we just say "hi". He always told me that he wanted nothing to do with me and what other choice did I have but to accept it. But he sent me a text that said he still doesn't want to be a part of my life but wished me a happy birthday. Is he just putting up a front and truly misses me? Or does he really want me back and his ego and pride are stopping him? Or am I just crazy?

You might be crazy...LOL but I'd say just ask him how he feels. It's the only way to know for sure

Well, he had you on his mind if he sent you a text to say Happy B day. I really think that it was just simply happy b-day with no motives behind it because you were on his mind, I wouldn't look into this too much.

maybe he was really just saying happy birthday! you can ask him to be sure. we could guess on here all day long. he is the only one who knows what the answer really is!

he's an ex for a reason whether or not it was or wasn't your choice, sounds like he doesn't know what he wants and is just playing games, ignore him and find someone new.
