yeah a little...make sure you take care of it ok sweety? here is some info.....
Fresh Tattoo
Take bandage off in 2 hours
Wash tattoo carefully with warm soapy water
DO NOT SCRUB
Lightly pat the tattoo until dry…
DO NOT RUB
Apply a very thin coat of bacitracin or aquaphor ointment 3 times a day for 3 to 5 days
Although re-bandaging a tattoo is not recommended, if covering the tattoo is necessary a sterile bandage or dressing should be used.
Be sure and wash the tattoo every night and morning…
DO NOT SOAK
Avoid tattoo exposure to direct sunlight and refrain from swimming in fresh, salt or chlorinated water for at least 2 weeks.
After External Healing
Tattoos heal quickly BUT fading can still be a problem
Apply hand lotion once a day until dryness stops
Vaseline Intensive Care, Lubriderm, Nivea, etc...
Tanning fades tattoos
Always cover fully healed tattoo with sun block
DO NOT RUIN YOUR INVESTMENT!!!

Yep, I got started on an upper arm piece a couple weeks ago (all inside). It bruised a bit, and was swollen a little more than normal. It still has some healing to do in the red inked areas.

Just depends on how easily you bruise. But yes, that would be normal to be sensitive in that area after getting inked. I have found that I bruise because of the freshly broken skin and when they rub the ink into it!
Just make sure that you watch it, and make sure that it is bruising. Discoloration could be a sign of infection so watch for other signs. Make sure you follow the general rules of new tattoo care.

It is normal to have bruising anywhere you get a tattoo. As long as the bruise goes away in a normal time frame, I wouldn't worry. One thing tattoo places don't tell you to do is put neosporin on the tattoo. This helps it heal faster and makes it less likely to get infected or have weird scars. I put it on whenever I cleaned it or changed the bandage. My tattoo healed twice as fast when I did this.

i don't have an armband tattoo but the inner arm is a very delicate spot and i would not be surprised if there is bruising. think about if you get pinched there, you'll bruise. and tattooing is much more traumatic to the skin than pinching.

i have bands on both arms, and yes it can happen, this area is very tender, its not an area that takes trauma of any kind well, and a tattoo can bruise the area, it will settle in a few days

It wouldn't surprise me. The inside of your arm is really sensitive.
