Thomas Hearns would destroy Mayweather Jr within 5 rounds, i know that Mayweather Jr has a great defense but i just cant see how Floyd can keep off the Bigger and Stronger Hearns for long, this would be a demolition job, Hearns had freakish punching power and this is something that Floyd avoids like the plague. The only problem with this fight would be getting Floyd to agree to fight the Hitman, he would run a mile from the contract signing for this one. Hearns KO in 5.
Baz, i know you have probably already watched this fight but if you get chance watch the Hearns Vs Cuevas fight again, i see a Mayweather Jr Vs Hearns fight going in a simular fashion, obviously Floyd would be a lot more defensive but hopefully the KO would be just as convincing.

Mayweather is a good fighter and has a good defense and is not without skills. That being said, he is still not in the same class as the Hitman! Hearns has the height, reach, punching power not to mention a pole axe jab and in everyway he is a better fighter than Mayweather Jr. I can see in this fight Mayweather attempting to stay away from the bigger man and maybe trying to counter Hearn's long jabs. In about round 7 I believe that Hearns lands one of his patented right hand bombs and Mayweather Jr is counted out. Good question sir!

The size and reach of Thomas Hearns would make it a difficult fight for Mayweather. The sledge hammer right hand of Hearns would eventually land, and Floyd, with all due respect wouldn't be able to take the Hearns power for more than about the half way point of the fight.
Hearns by KO in six.

Hearns, he would be too tall and and too strong for Floyd. Mayweather has never been hit by a puncher like the Hit Man. Hearns could just stand outside and pick Floyd off every time he tried to land his lead right hand.

Hearns was stripped down middleweight, Mayweather a blown up lightweight. The Hitman would wreck Floyd.

Hearns would probably stop Mayweather, who would not have enough power to test Hearns' questionable chin.

good lob Frank, I remember watching that fight, he twisted Pipino's neck in that one...Hearns was like 6 feet tall and had a good jab and a great straight right, Floyd would have to wade in to get anything off, no good...I like Floyd and was never too partial to Hearns but looks like Hearns in a middle to late round ko...now Oscar and Floyd should look a lot like Shane and Oscar, with Floyd beating Oscar to the punch inside and outside, and rotating away from that left hook finish that Oscar always uses...this is not some heavy bag with a mouth and no boxing skills like Mayorga was...that fight was tailor made for Oscar...
