I cant seem to find the correct spelling for these kanji symbols as iv heard that some tattooists get the symbols wrong? could anyone help

Just wondering.........is it equally ridiculous if an Asian person gets English writing on themselves? I have a couple of Hangul characters on me, and I know darn well what they say. My Korean roommate was honored to give me the info. Do your research and rock on.

Well if you're looking for the characters for those 4 words, they shouldn't be spelled out. If you are getting those 4 words, there should only be 4 characters. You should be able to find those characters if you type in Chinese Character AND Love, Peace, etc. Should be pretty easy to find on google. Out of the sites that pull, I would look at sites though that are Chinese and not tattoo sites. Also as a heads up, so that your search on the net is easier...they're called characters not symbols. Also, not if you're sure you're looking for CHINESE WRITING, JAPANESE WRITING, or KOREAN WRITING. They all have different characters and are said differently. Kanji is Japanese writing...
I am another Chinese person like the first person that responded to your question that finds it a little bit odd when people get writing on them when they aren't positive as to what it means but they just want a Chinese character on them? I dunno...that's up to the bearer. I think as long as your positve as to what it says...it's fine but really make sure that you do your research.
Blair - I think it's dumb when Asian people have those tshirts with english on them... if you don't speak, don't know anything about the culture or whatsoever....ie....look at all the shirts that are made in Asia that have English on them that make no sense whatsoever but they have it on there just to have English on there? That looks dumb and they shouldn't have put together a shirt like that if they have no clue what it means and have no clue that it doesn't make sense. Just my thoughts.

Keep in mind that many Asians think this is ridiculous. But if you must, try finding an Asian tattooist so that they don't rip you off. I've seen plenty of non-Asians with tattoos with the WRONG characters, i.e. a guy who thought he had "LOVE" tattooed on his arm, and it really says "BEARING FRUIT."

Our guys go to the local Chinese restaurant, and ask them to write them. They don't tell them it is for a tattoo, and they are always right.

See the attached. Go or call the Japanese embassy where you live and ask them if they'll draw the symbol for you. Better yet, don't get a tattoo at all.
