If I'm filing a tax form by paper and paid a company like H&R Block to fill it out for me, are they required to complete and sign the bottom where it says Preparer's Signature, Address, etc? Cause they left it blank?
Thanks for your advice.

Ah, the joys of being an overworked tax preparer! It was simply an oversight, because H & R Block certainly is aware of the penalties for not signing.

Kind of makes me wonder, though, if something as basic as that wasn't caught in a review process, what else did they miss????

They should be filling that oput, I believe it is a $50 fine (to the preparer)for not signing it if paid to prepare.

If someone else prepared it, they are required to sign. Take it back and have them sign it.

I'd take it back to the office where it was prepared. They may
have overlooked their signature. It should not be a problem.

They should sign it. You might want to give them a call and ask them why they didn't. I am sure that they will have you come in and get it signed.
