with a GED.. can i still be a large animal vet.. if i starte out at a com. college?

There is no reason that you can't still accomplish your goal of becomming a vet. Getting the high school diploma or GED is the key to gaining admission to college. If you choose to start at a community college to get your feet wet on the college experience and then transfer to a four year college with a veterinary program then do that.
As long as you work hard, keep up the grades, then there is no reason that you can't do it.
