Any ideas? Is a fever for 6 days normal? Should I go to the hospital or not?

Yeah, they are right, its a nasty bug that is going around and there is probably a 70% chance that pneumonia will set in. You need antibiotics and medical attention. If your fever is over 100 it can be worse. Seek medical attention immediately!

You shouldn't even be here asking that question.

RUN to the emergency department in the hospital. Have someone drive you, incase they give you medication that will make you drowsy.

If you don't have a ride, take a taxi. It'll be money wisely used. Take care of your health. If you don't, who will?

You should be concerned about developing pneumonia. You probably need an antibiotic so please go to the doctor or the ER. Don't wait any longer.
