He just found out that his father cheated on his mother and now he doesn't want to commit to me because of it.

Well obviously your "friend" has issues now that he found out his dad cheated on his mom. I would just give him some space for now...until he realizes that, that was his father's mistake not his. And that shouldn't influence his relationship with you.

Dump Him!!! If he thinks about cheating, the next progression is cheating. If his thoughts are about other women, how do you expect him to be faithful. He is incapable of committing and sticking to it. Find someone who will love you and only you.
