religions are man made so all currupt we must look directly to God.

I would seperate religion from faith.

Religion is a man made set of traditions and teachings designed to being people close to God and celebrate the Divine. So yes - they can be corrupted and be corrupting.

Do I think all religions are like this? No. Are all religions a corrupting influence? No. Are some? Yes.

My religion considers other religions to be just different fingers pointing at the same moon. That they may be better ways and methods for others to gain enlightenment. Buddhism is the best path for me.

Religion can be a corrupting influence (such as terrorists that use Islam as a tool for hate and violence), but it is not automatically such.
