perms can ruin your hair and dry it out ... i would talk to a few different hair dressers and research perms online..
I think a body wave is more relaxed then a perm and you can pick the size of curls you want.. Talk to a few professionals before making a decision...
I somewhat have wavy hair, I scruntch it everyday and it is flat by noon, and I wanted a body wave and my hairdresser (gone to her for like 15 years) said no, cause my hair takes to fake curls (curling iron) really well and my hair would be just huge! So I listened to her and didn't get it done!

i would say no. If you keep your hair straight, you can have it curly whenever you want it. But, with a perm, you hair gets fried, and it makes it ten times harder to get it back to the way it used to be. About two years ago i decided that i wanted to get a perm, and my hair has never been the same. It frizzes way more than it used to and it never wants to curl. I regret getting it so like i said, i would not get a perm... but it is up to you.

I wanted something temporairly so I went and got a perm in December. Well its March now and my hair is still curly. I like it though bc it seems to be easier to care for and it gave my hair volume. I did have straight hair that didnt do anything, now I go curls that dont need high maintainence.

Better to ask that question to your hair dresser. It might look nice but it is also important if your hair is strong enough for the perm.
