A year ago it felt as if I had a popcorn kernel stuck in my gums. I thought that's what it was, but it wasn't.... It turned out to be my actual gum, and now it seems as if it's sticking out. It hurts to eat, drink, or brush my teeth. I can move it with my tounge.... It's right in front on the lower set of teeth.... I've tried searching for information about it, but can't seem to find any. I don't have a dentist, and definatley don't have the money to go, but I really would like some sort of clue as to what it might be.

Yeah... It sucks when you just lost your job. Heh. Seriously, I know it isn't a sore though. I thought that it was a popcorn kernel, and when I went to go get it out..well...it wasn't. I pulled my gum off my tooth. I don't eat popcorn anymore, thats for sure. Too scared lol.

Sounds like an abscess. It's an infection. You need to see a dentist. It wont get better on it's own. You need antibiotics and a professional treatment. If gone untreated it can spread and get worse.

well, i think a dentist is going to need to cut this off so it doesn't bother you. i recommend you go. something sharp or even a popcorn hull may have caused this. i assume it isn't causing tooth pain, as you didn't speak of any. it needs repaired by the dentist. if you are going to wait and see if it repairs on it's own, well it may be quite painful to go through. if it has pulled away from the tooth, then bacteria can get under the gumline and you can get a gum infection, so keep an eye on it and you really should see the dentist unless it starts healing soon. in the meantime, you might try amosan

ahh yes!! it seems like u either have one of 2 things - 1 it could be a kancor sore, in a simple explaination it is kinda like a gum pimple- 2 it could be a gum infection in this u should see a dentist - or else it could contribute to loss of gums or worse. oh for a kancor sore just pick up some cream from the local pharmacy. hoped that helped

Could be a flake of the pop corn. I had to stop eating the stuff cause my gums wasn't tight enough to keep them out. Home remedy : Eat a lot of raw garlic ( anti-biotic ) and get some powdered cloves to put on the area ( will numb it and antiseptic ). When it gets possible dig up under the gum till you find the flake.

Sounds like an abcess on your gum. You have to get antibiotics to make it heal up. These things can be dangerous. They can actually kill you if left untreated. You have to go to the doctor. It is very important.

Good Luck.

if it hurts it must be serious. i know its expensive to go to the dentist, but try to look for a way to get a cheap dentis and a good one. if you live near mexico, try going to a doctor there, they are way cheaper, and i think that in canada its cheaper too. if you cant go to eihter, shop around for a doctor or and insurance... and i know its time consuming too, but what r u gonna do? leave your health unatended?? never!

THIS MAY BE A SIMPLE THING OR SOMETHING MUCH MORE SERIOUS. THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW FOR SURE IS TO HAVE A DENTIST EXAMINE THE SPOT WERE IT HURTS AND GIVE YOU A PROFESSIONAL DIAGNOSIS.
