now, as far as I know, brendon does not like my friend. I don't wanna pick a guy over a friend but this friend knows I like Brendon and asked him out after he asked me out!

Eventhough your friend may like him, he doesn't like her so nothing will happen. If you both like each other, then go for it. If your friend gets upset...use the whole, "You're my friend, why can't you be happy for me?" If they try to use thee guilt thing on you, it's easy to do it back as well you know? Anyways...if you do chose your friend, you're always going to be wondering "What if?" you know? Also, before dating, make it clear to your friend that he likes you and that you like him back and that you wanna give it a try, if she's really offended, you're going to have to be able to make your decision.
