I donot want a very expensive wedding. I was wondering if anyone knew of a specific place I could get married and have the reception. without it being at a hotel for 10,000. THANKS

On the west coast of Florida, around the Tampa Bay area,
there is Indian Rocks Beach, Maderia Beach, all of which have small hotels right on the beach. You can get a list of
local churches to talk to about performing the services. There are also a couple of public parks that you may be able
to use; Sand Key Park (hotels nearby) and Fort DeSoto,
near Treasure Island. Beautiful sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico.

I'm getting married in Florida myself. I looked at a wide range of places around the Destin/Seaside area and ended up picking Watercolor Inn. It's a little pricey, but I do remember coming across an all-inclusive place called Angler's. It's a restaurant in Destin, right on the beach. They did the wedding ceremony on the beach and the reception in the restaurant. It didn't look like they had a max/min number of people (which is also a plus). I would also look into "Tropical Beach Wedddings". They do the ceremony on the beach (of your choice) and the reception at a place of your choice. Good luck!!

Daytona Beach is one of the largest and longest beach in Florida. Check out with the town of Datona Beach if it can be done. Also Ormond Beach, Miami Beach. Check out the East Coast of Florida on a map and check the towns and see if you could find a nice beach near your home that would allow a beach wedding.

You could do a lot worse than Marco Island, near Naples, or Sanibel Island, near Ft. Myers.

Both had unbelievable natural beauty, have suffered a lot of development, but are still great in most parts, particularly the west-facing beach areas.

The Florida Keys are very heavily commercialised, and probably won't fit your ideal, but Key Largo may be worth a few minutes of I-net search time.

Good luck, and I hope that the nuptials are everything that you dreamed.

What about one of the beaches at one of the state parks? Those are some of the best beaches in the country, at least according to that Dr. Beach guy that I've seen on the Today show.

On the west coast try looking into Sanibel or Captiva islands. Lots of nice places there.
