Yes, The "Thinning" Could Be Caused By The Bleaching. Bleaching Does Make The Hair VERY SOFT And Does Dehydrate It. So, This Will Make It Seem Thinner. Also, If Your Hair Was Weakened By Overprocessing, Some Strands Could Be Breaking Off. Adding To The Thinning. Regular Conditioning Is A Must. Protien And Vitamin Treatments Will Help.

Did you bleach it once? Or has it been bleached repeatedly since that 6 month time span?

BTW, there is a difference between bleaching and hair coloring, one take color, the other deposits color. So...

If its a one time thing, I would look at your life style, food eaten, life style changes that aren't working out, nervous anxiety...and so forth...things like that can cause a hair loss.

A one time bleaching six months ago isn't going to start causing your hair to fall out six month down the road. If it was going to fall out, it would have fallen out shortly after the bleaching...I know this, because not only am I a bleached blonde, but I'm also a hairdresser....

Just condition your hair really well, it could be that its dry, and damaged and needs a little tlc.....

Good Luck........Stephanie

P.S. Anything you do to your hair damages it, but it doesn't necessarily ruin it. So don't panic.....just baby it...

It could be a number of things. The hair coloring can't be completely ruled out but it's not my first suspect.

You need to consult your doctor because it could be and is more likely due to a health condition. A number of things cause hair loss.

Are you eating? Getting all of the essential nutrients on a daily basis that are recommended for someone your age/gender?

I think in young women (and I didn't look at who you even are, I am making a huge assumption here) that hair loss is most often caused by improper diet or thyroid issues.

The link below will give you hundreds of potential causes, check it out, see what matches most closely. SEE YOUR DOCTOR.

Nioxin hair products work wonders on thinning hair. Nothing externally will work if you are not caring for yourself, getting a proper diet, your hormones aren't balanced and you aren't drinking enough water.

If you go to asian hair salons they have this treatment called "coating". They offer it in Korean salons, actually, and what it is is you can coat your hair with this special formula to protect the hair and also make it a little thicker. There are not too many products out there that will make extremely damaged and thin hair any thicker. This is the only thing I can think of. But the best bet is to just grow it out and dont do anything else to make it worse

Hair thinning could be caused from that. Do you find a lot of hair in the bottom of your shower or tub after bathing/washing your hair? If so, you may need your thyroid gland checked. Hypothyroidism can cause hair loss and many other problems you wouldn't think of.
