No. She is dead. And she wasn't a virgin when she gave birth either.

The "Virgin Mary" is dead and in the grave whereever it was that they buried her. And she's not a virgin any more either.
7. How much does one know or comprehend after death?
"The living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun." "There is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest." Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10. "The dead praise not the Lord." Psalms 115:17.
Answer: God says that the dead know absolutely nothing!
8. But can't the dead communicate with the living, and aren't they aware of what the living are doing?
Though millions think it is possible, the dead cannot communicate with the living.
"So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep." "His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them." Job 14:12, 21. "Neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun." Ecclesiastes 9:6.
Answer: No, the dead cannot contact the living, nor do they know what the living are doing. They are dead. Their thoughts have perished (Psalms 146:4).

No more so than any other dead person can pray to his or herself.
If Mary can and does pray, it would be to God alone. At least, that's what I think. Remember, so was a a Jewish woman of her era, not a Christian.

The virgin mary is not a God and should not be prayed to at all.

Why would she be praying for herself?
Thought she was already in heaven with God - at least in Christian belief. Why would she have to pray for herself if she's already in the prescence of God?

The Virgin Mary, like all Christians, worships God and God alone.

She prays to God. The Virgin Mary is not God, and when we pray to her, we pray for her to intervene and ask God to help us.

You mean like, maybe she wants a special favor so she asks herself to go to God, interceding on her own behalf?
Let me just say: You so crazy!

When she thinks to herself "I'll ask my Lord and my God, my Son Jesus, the Christ to help ... ", then she is indeed praying (talking) to herself and interceding for the one she is asking help for.

well, if she were conscious she could, but it would do just as much good as if I prayed to myself considering she is not a God nor does she have any "powers". she's dead, and will remain unknowing of anything until the LORD comes again in the clouds of glory.
