My English class has an assignment. We have to write a set of directions and then make a presentation of how to do something. I would like to cook something, preferably a dessert. I can not cook or refrigerate anything. Can you find me a recipe?

Here's something that might just work for you!

1 Sara Lee PoundCake
1 large container Vanilla Pudding, or Dulce La Leche pudding
1 container chocolate sauce
1 pint fresh strawberries

Clean and slice fresh strawberries. Place in a bowl. Add 1 T sugar and mash slightly. Let sit for 30 minutes to bring out the juice. Defrost pound cake and slice horizontally to make 3 layers. Put 1/2 of the pudding on top of bottom slice. Top with 1/3 of the strawberry mixture. Put next slice of poundcake on top of it and repeat the above. Top with poundcake. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and let it run down the sides of the cake. Top with remaining strawberries. If the cake seems too wobbly, you can insert a couple of toothpicks to stabilize it.

Fruit Pizza
A beautiful dessert for brunch or any special occasion. It will not keep well, so plan on using it up. You may also use your own sugar cookie recipe in place of the refrigerated cookie dough.

1 (20-ounce) package refrigerated cookie dough
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or other flavoring (almond, orange, or lemon)
Fresh blueberries, banana slices, mandarin orange sections,
seedless grapes, strawberry halves, kiwi fruit slices, (or any other fruit you want), well drained
1/2 cup orange, peach, or apricot preserves
1 tablespoon water

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line an ungreased 14-inch pizza pan with cookie dough cut in 1/8-inch slices, overlapping slightly. Bake 12 minutes or until light brown; remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.

In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract or other flavoring; spread over cookie crust. Arrange fruit over cream cheese layer in any design you want (use your imagination).

In a small saucepan over very low heat, make a glaze by heating preserves and water. Brush glaze over fruit, making sure to cover the fruit that will turn dark. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.

Make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (write your directions carefully, as your Eng. teacher may be trying to trick you as far as how well communication is). Remember you can't just say take 2 pieces of bread (you must not assume people know what bread is, what kind of bread, etc bespecfic!) This way you won't have to cook.
Another idea is go to www.allrecipes.com there are a million ways to look up recipes and you can even put in the search engine "no bake...."
