Why don't you just call the fuel company and show them your receipt? And get a lien release.

Make sure you check your credit report and dispute it if it's on your credit report too.

go to the fuel company. go up the food chain with your receipt. make a copy and do not give them the orginal.
Consult attorney or legal aid. call a newspaper and see if they can heeeelp you out. T.v. news are always looking for a good story. Sound like a mix up!
I had something similar happen to me once. They even reported on my credit.
ICheck your credit. I went up the food chain and I got a attorney to write them a nasty letter.
I vented in the paper. Wrote the editor of the paper a letter.
It got published with a copy of my receipt. Big gas company picking on the little single mom! Whoah did that get results.

I had a friend that had a similar problem, she called a local TV channel, and they gladly came out and did a story on it. It took a while, and a court date, but was able to get the lien stopped! It was something with the county wanting to re-zone or something like that.

Go to the fuel company and try to settle the matter. There is the fair credit reporting act. If they fail to release the lien and then you can sue if you are denied credit based on their reporting.

you have gotten a considerable undertaking. maximum states do no longer enable you to do what you have achieved except you carry a valid genuine sources broking provider's license. Such is a common requirement while coping with condo residences for those different than which you very own. you may certainly take 'this buddy' to small claims courtroom in hopes of recouping that which you spent. in spite of the indisputable fact that, understant which you will additionally locate that the courts will seem negatively upon you for no longer having the mandatory licensure to accomplish sources administration. the alternative is yours as to despite if or to no longer take courtroom action.
