Talk to your parents about this. Maybe they can come up with a plan to help you.

First I think that it is extremely commendable for what you and your family are doing, who knows where those kids could end up if your family wasn't stepping up to the plate. That being said, sit down and talk to your family, your parents specifically. Remind them that you do not mind doing your share, however you are 17 and want to be a teenager going into adulthood also. You want to be able to enjoy life, as it (as anyone can see) could end swiftly. Explain that you will do your part however make sure that they understand that you want to have the freedom that "regular" teenagers have. They will respect your adult decisions to discuss this with them, and if you are willing to do your part, then they should make accomodations to help you out in the babysitting department. Hope that helps!

YOU ARE BEING A VERY BIG HELP TO THE CHILDREN IN THE HOUSEHOLD NOW. YOU WILL BE A BIG HELP TO THESE CHILDREN ALSO. IT IS HARD FOR YOU, BEING SO YOUNG AND BEING THRUST INTO THIS OVERWHELMING RESPONSIBILITY. YOU ARE A GREAT PERSON! IF THERE WERE MORE PEOPLE LIKE YOU IN THIS WORLD WE WOULD BE A LOT BETTER OFF! JUST FOCUS ON THAT. YOU ARE A GREAT PERSON. HELPING OUT IN A REAL HARD SITUATION. I ENVY YOU BEING NEEDED THE WAY YOU ARE.

Accept it with all your heart. Appear committed to the new situation and if you truly take it with a helping heart, I guarantee you that the burden will be lighter.
