I am only 19 years old and just lost my dad, my aunt his sister is fighting me for his ashes. My parents divorced when I was 3 years old . Mom is alive. Does my aunt have a right to take me to court on this. She also is fighting me on his possessions. Dad did not pay child support after divorce. He was always sorry . Dad had a lot of Indian Art Collectibles and thousands of dollars in tools . We do not know what else yet. Does my aunt have the right to fight on either issue.???

This aunt broke into my Dad's house by kicking in the door to get in, after we put a different lock on. Mom and I made a Police Report.

first off i am very sorry for your loss.i would think that you are the one entitled to your fathers belongings as well as the ashes your his next of kin but to be on the safe side ask a lawyer they all give a one time free counsel to see if you have a case good luck and i hope all the drama is settled soon for every-ones sake losing a loved on is hard enough to deal with without the fighting

i'd say the Stretford end penalty section at previous Trafford yet soccer grounds not enable the scattering of ashes on the enjoying floor. i think the two purely outdoors the floor or around the pubs in Salford Quays. every physique fancy a face finished of Chris on a windy Saturday in approximately 60 years into the destiny?

Talk to a lawyer. You can literally split the ashes. I know some siblings who did this.

In America, you would have more rights to your dad's things, including his ashes, than a sister.

see if there was a will. If there is one you are entitled to see if you were left anything or if it was left to your aunt. Contact a lawyer

yes she has a right to fight its her brother but what are her reasons for fighting is it because she feels you will just sell his possesions because she wants to or because she wants some of his possesions because she likes them or to remember him by maybe you can give her a few posessions if her reasons for wanting them are good then she wont take you to court!
