Well if your mom thinks you are going to be having sex with him then that's why. Parents don't like to think their kids are having sex. If he lives far away, she's afraid for your safety. If he's of a different race, then she perhaps has a bias against that. She's trying to be a good mom, but she just doesn't trust you because you are young. I don't know. Just try to compromise with her about it. Maybe you can have your boyfriend come over there. Or bring someone she trusts along for a double date with him. But if he isn't willing to understand your circumstances then it isn't going to work between you and him not matter how much you want it to.
