Numbers align best in WORD using a Decimal or Right tab (depending on the type of number(s) you have). In WORD, View>Ruler.

There is a little symbol at the top left of Ruler that shows the type of tab that will be set by clicking on the rule. Select either the upside-down T symbol with a dot that sets a decimal tab or a left-face L that sets a right tab. Once you have selected the style of tab you want, just click on the ruler where you want the text to align.

You can also go through Format>Tabs and select measurements for your tab set-up.
