It depends on the felony, as far as nursing at least. I know at my nursing school we have to go through extensive background checks, and then again when we apply for our license. You can appeal certain things, but, they can choose to license you or not.

In reponse to the first answer...DUI isn't a felony until the 4th offense (although that's a shame) Anyway, I think it depends on the felony and what position this person has. If the felony didn't involve drugs and the person isn't handling drugs then I wouldn't see much of a problem. What was the felony for and what's the person's job description?

I'd hope not! Im in the medical field and everyone I know, myself included had to have a strict background check as well as a credit check!

It depends what kind of FELONY it is.... and it depends on the TYPE of MEDICAL PROCEDURE and such as to say...
