Can I re-take the class here or do you have to be in the state that the actions occured in?

If it was suspended in KY for DUI, you can contact the place in KY that does the DUI classes and they can hook you up with a place in AL that does the classes. The costs and the hours might vary, but you shouldn't have to go to KY to take care of this. Contact the drivers licensening place in your town to see how to go about doing that. And, I salute you for serving our country!!! Quit drinking and driving; you survived Iraq; it'd be a shame to not survive an auto accident. Bless you!!

You have to pay off any fines or wait the suspended period no matter what. It doesn't matter what state your license was suspended in, you can not get a new one in any state until the suspension has been lifted in Kentucky. You should contact the Department of Licensing for Kentucky and find out what you need to do to get it back.
Good luck, and thank you for your service in Iraq.

Contact KY tell them you were in the military you may have to take psyhcology classes,

if so do not tell them no matter what you like violence or enjoy hurting people. They will destory your existence.

Once you have completed whatever psyh stuff they want you may have to wait the suspension period. In my state they do not reflect the suspension time until after you have taken the classes.
