I am also potty training my puppy right now and I understand your frustration.

Potty training is really difficult. You need to be consistent when it comes to potty training. She needs to be let out every 2 hours, after every meal, after long playtime and before sleeping. I know that sounds like a lot but it must be done. If she already learned how to pee outside, take her to the same spot everytime she needs to poop.

When you are outside, do NOT play with her until she finishes her business. She needs to be heavily rewarded when she does pee or poop outside. Do NOT scold her after she pees or poops inside but only you catch her in the act. If you do, she will just think that peeing or pooping inside the house is bad and will probably sneak somewhere where you cannot catch her but will still continuously do it inside.

Good luck with your puppy!

My dog was not house trained at all when we got him and he was almost 4 months old. We tried puppy papers and everything but all he wanted to do was chew the pads up. We finally decided to take him out every hour or if we could tell signs of him having to go to the bathroom we would take him outside. He didn't like it very much, he wanted to go back inside and sometimes it didn't work, but with a lot of patients and consistence he is now house trained and he is almost 8 months old now. Also to get the dog to stop messing in the house try white vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the areas that the dog normally would mess in and they will learn that it is not good to mess in the house and they don't like the smell of white vinegar either. Good luck.

Teach her to go outdoors, she should have been trained long before now. Papers and pads are nothing but a waste of time, and not very sanitary. It's much easier to teach her where she needs to go.

you need to take up the paper and start taking that dog outside every few hours and she will get the idea that indoors is the place not to do her business. House break the dog not paper train the dog. That is the laziest way to break a dog on paper. Walk the dog she needs to be out doors anyway. I don't blame the dog

6 months, your puppy should be trained by now BUT in some cases it does take longer, I have a 4 month old ESS who is kinda getting there, we do all the correct things you can do and you also sound like your doing the right thing, makes sure u take them out everytime they wake, eat or look like they are sniffing around, just keep perservering it WILL happen

heres what we did with our 3 dogs, it worked.

1) if you see them in action pooping or peeing literally pick them up and bring them outside, (it can be kind of gross when they are pooping) and let them finish the job out there, then give them a treat if they did.
2) if you do not catch them in action, take them to the site of the accident and put there nose close to it and rant and rave for about 5 minutes how what they did was bad, and them take them outside.
*they will eventually learn where the door is, you should be very consistent when first training them (i.e if you have a side door and a back door, pick one to train them to until they get older)

3) Let them out alot, and stand out there with them: if they go to the bathroom outside, even just a PIDDLE, heavily reward them!
4) Let them out right before bed, that should stop night time accidents, however if they DO have accidents at night there is not much you can do, and you shouldnt get them in trouble since they really had no way to wait by the door or signal you to let them out... as they get older they will have an easier time holding themselves or they will learn to cry by your door if its urgent.

maybe your puppy is just not ready to be potty trained you must wait until your puppy feels the time is right to go outside. just be patient!
