If you are travelling internationally with an infant, the infant needs a passport prior to travel.

As long as you can get the baby's picture, you can get them a passport. I have a friend whose daughter got a passport and also flew to Thailand at age of 3 months.

Doesn't matter, you can get one right now if you want. The only dumb thing about the whole situation is, I don;t think you have to get the kid another one until he/she is five.

But if you are leaving the country, the baby will need a passport, even if it's only10 month old.

at birth - I was less than a year when my dad got a job in Cuba and I needed a passport - that was before Castro took over and kicked out the Americans
