I can in some questions and answers I see here, though there is plenty of hate in others. I do try to keep the positive stuff front-of-mind.
With my limited knowledge, I think Kirk would win.

Sometimes, I learn allot either way, but every now and them I read an answer or a question that causes me to change the way I think.
Kirk without a doubt, Picard would spend too much time wondering about the moral implications of the fight and would end up beaten before he was done thinking. Kirk would jump in with fists flying, then wonder if biting the aliens kneecap was the right thing to do after the fact.

You missed the secret plan - Picard killed Kirk by seducing him out of the nexus and sending him to do the physical fighting.
Face to face - Kirk was stronger. Strategic - Picard was smarter.
I find beauty and knowledge in all things. The questions and answers here, even when laced with the poisons of hatred and ignorance have threads of knowledge. We can take these and learn from them, assimilate them (un-borg-like) and turn them back to benefit for all, or we can leave them to fester.
As manure has no apparent beauty, it is nontheless essential to feed the eventual beauty of the rose. It is when manure is piled deep and left untouched that it creates a mess. We need to stir the manure as it comes in, and even though we may get angry, annoyed, upset or express any other number of destructive emotions (Spock would arch his eyebrows about now), our prime directive should be to spread the manure thin, maximizing its growth potential while minimizing the damage.
Still with me?

First question: Yes, I have been able to obtain knowledge and a greater understanding from the questions from people of other faiths. I may not always agree with them, but I understand more.
Second question: Kirk would kick Picard's butt!

Yes, I learn about myself when I learn about others.
Kirk, Picard. I love them both. But my money is on Kirk.

Yes, though much of what I have learned here is how dogmatic and closed-minded people can be...and not just the religious, I'm sorry to say.
Kirk would whip Picard in hand-to-hand combat.

When there's a will, they're a way.. there's beauty all aroung us just waiting fot the right person to see it! As for knowledge, it depends on how u like to reap it.. i believe that anything is possible, and helping others, not in the form of wasting time is both knowledge and beauty together!

Picard would win!
Better technology!
And because of technology today,
one can get varying ideas on knowledge
in the faith of hope.

The ones that aren't bashing But every religion has their bashers, as well as their kind hearted.
