Before passing judgement you should know your subject, and I mean really KNOW. Stay away from perverted extremist fundamentalists and their twisted interpretations. A great moderate Islamic voice is that of Amr Khaled. Just google his name and see.

3 months ago. I was Agnostic and as anti-Islam as just about anyone.

Now, I am a devout Muslim.

The change in those 3 months has been that I finally let down my prejudice towards Islam and read the Qur'an. I found all the truth I could need in there and decided to take my Shahada soon after.

And just as a side-note to Chris P: if you're not willing to read the Qur'an, then don't read the newspaper to make your judgments of Islam. If you don't take your knowledge directly from the Holy Book of our religion, you have no right to take it from the media.

I have met so many wonderful Muslim friends that I start to have more positive look into Islam, even though I do nt believe Muhammed was the prophet of God ( the Bible ) and Qur'an is the Holy Book. I have respect for my friends and their belief.

Sorry, I don't "attack"* Islam because of "perverted extremist fundamentalists" but because Islam is fundamentally flawed from the start.

*I'm using attack not in the sense of bashing but in that I'll argue against it. However "perverted extremist fundamentalists" should be curbed.

I don't want to read your Koran.
I read the Bible.
I'm not into learning everyone's religion.
I pay attention to my own.
