A fling doesn't have to involve sex. A fling is like a romantic adventure with someone that is a passing phase.
Friends with benefits is simply sex. No romance, no strings attached.

Not really anything a fling you don't really see again and friends with benefits you see all the time and you can still be friends considering whatever else is going on.

Flings last a short time , friends with benefits last as long as the friendship or until somebody finds a steady mate.

I would consider a fling more or less like a one night stand, get freaky with each other and then move on. A friend with benefits is a little more involved. The two of you (?) love to jump each others buns, but there is no real romanitic connection beyond sex. But you are still friends...

A fling is usually a one time or a temporary thing with just anyone. A fwb usually is someone you are friends with and it goes on for a long time.

2 TOTALLY different things in my point of view. a fling, is like having a bf/gf, but its just the partying and nothing special. and a friend with benefits is just someone you are close to, but you like to fool around & flirt & stuff. but everyone has their own views on this & what not.

there is no emotional attachment between a fling whereas friends with benefits you are friends and you like to have sex

fling is u get ur freak on and move on basically 4get about the person but friends w/ben...u actually have sex...and still remain friends...more like u call them whenever u want it too...but u guys are still cool afterwards...
