I’m a 25-year-old male. I very often get bloated after eating. I my stomach gets big like a balloon, and it really hurts sometimes. I’m not fat, I’m a size 31 pants, but I wear a lot of 34 size pants and a belt. When I’m not bloated I need to tighten up my belt so my size 34 pants don’t sag. But when I’m bloated, even the size 34 pants feel tight. Some friends tell me that happens to me because I don’t know how to burp, but I doubt that has much to do with it. I’ve found out the best way to avoid it is NOT to eat anything before noon, if I do I’ll get bloated for hours. I’ve also found out I can eat anything at night, and not get bloated. But either way I want to know:

What medicine can I take before or after eating, so I don’t get bloated?

Stop eating before you get full. I've tried Beano and other products. The only thing that works is eating less.

You could take Beano when you eat (supposed to reduce amount of gas your foods produce) or an anti-gas such as Phazyme. Phazyme is great because I've found it to have the most concentration of active ingredient, simethicone, in each softgel. Usually works withing 30 minutes. I am lactose intolerant and bloat real quick and real painful from products containing milk or an ingredient called Whey. Read labels, they put it in everything from breads and even cereals(those that contain yogurt). Speaking of cereals, you could also have a sensitivity to wheat gluten. If diet changes and OTC's don't help, I would see your doctor. He/she could look into your symptoms further and maybe even refer you to a gastro-intestinal specialist. Good luck and hope you feel better.

Talk to your doctor about Zantac or another prescription for indigestion. You're pretty young to be dealing with this so badly, so I would definitely see your doc and see what s/he recommends.

Also, it might be related to your diet. If you are lactose intolerant and you drink milk for breakfast, that is sure to cause a problem. If you're allergic to wheat and you eat a lot of cereal or bread, another problem.

Spend a period of time eating only whole foods- lean meat and non-starchy veggies, then gradually add foods back in one at a time until you get a reaction- then you'll know that's a food likely to cause you a problem.

Also, I urge you to consider eating a light protein for breakfast, like one egg or a slice of ham or something. If you stop eating breakfast you're setting yourself up to gain weight because it changes how your body uses food.

Personally, I think you should see a doctor to see what is causing the problem. If you do not get to the bottom of the problem, it could mean surgery down the road with big problems.
It could be lactose intolerance. Also, try eating yogurt containing lactobacillus acidophyllus a couple times a day for a couple of weeks. (I had simular problem and these two things were my problem) Don't know what the yogurt did but it sure did help.

if you are drinking a lot of fluids with your meals that may be why, if you are drinking our of a straw you swallow a lot of air when you drink so don't use one, you may also be having digestion problems
