My MOH just kept it simple: one was Mel's Shower, the other the shower date. Just so you know....the bags they send (7 oz) are REALLY small, and kind of expensive for their size. So she also bought some un-printed M & M's for "filler". She mixed the printed/non-printed together, then put them into those small metal canisters.

Your dad is charging $50 for all the food? Divided among 9 bridesmaids that's about $5.50 each. Seriously? They will not find it better. That is a lot of sweets though, but I guess then there will be some yummy goody for everyone. You should ask if they will meet you for lunch and ask them what they would prefer to have happen for the rest of the things for the wedding. Tell them you really would love their input for the bachelorette if you give one. I don't understand the comment about the bride's family being responsible for her shower. The immediate family of the bride and groom never give a shower. The only real responsibility of the bridesmaids is to get their dress, shoes and accessories, do their hair and makeup as the bride requests, and show up to the rehearsal and wedding. So on that note, it's not exactly wrong that other bridesmaids are not heavily involved in all the planning. However, if you take an action, like ordering the food, then they complain about it, that's a problem that ought to be addressed. Could it be that if you and Bride are best friends, that you just naturally hang out together doing wedding stuff and the other bridesmaids feel left out? Were the other bridesmaids invited to come pick out their dresses and shoes? I'm not sure what's happening with the dynamic, but no, they will not find food for a party for less than $50.

You could put the couples name and the date of the shower or the wedding date. You could even put:
"Shower the Bride"
"With This Ring"
Use the bride's name with the word shower and the date (ie. Gina's Shower, May 5, 2007)
Thank you
Bride-to-be
Future Mrs. Smith
Hope these help.
Good luck and have fun

Can you put the bride and groom's name on them? How about "I do", or "Happily ever After" (cheesy, yes, but only 3 words!). If there is a theme to the wedding, you could somehow incorporate that with "romantic" sounding words. Good luck!

you could have 'fairy tales' on one M&M and 'come true' on the other.
Blue, Borrowed, Old, New (two words on each M&M)
soulmates forever
to have & to hold
two hearts one beat
Love is Brewing
hope these get you thinking or help at all...
