I have a couple questions for you if you are.

Why do you love God? Why do you serve Him? Is He everything to you? Is He the center of your life or do other things take up time and room before Him?

I would like indepth answers. I'm a Christian and I know why I love Him and serve Him, why He means everything to me, so I just want to hear from other genuine believers. The short answer is not always the best.

I love God because He caused a life-changing experience in my life. He has made me a better person, more caring and compassionate.

Once upon a time, before the great social experiments of this last 40 years, I was in business for myself in an architectural and construction business. My company drew the plans, and my crews built the buildings for customers that liked to devour land and put big buildings on it so they could lease or sell the buildings to others for a goodly profit.

I was busy, but I did not have the time to devote to God or even my family. I was always at the office or the construction site, and got home for a late supper, and rose to go back to the office before my kids got up in the morning. Some folks thought I was important and well off, but my life had little meaning other than making money to provide my family with everything that they desired.

One day, we were invited to a seminar late in the evening at a church, and it sounded interesting so we arranged to be there. I felt God touch my life and reorder my priorities. I came home and sitting at the diningroom table told my family that I wanted to sell out of the business and go to work as a consultant. I had no customers, but I knew I had to have more time for life outside of business.

Slowly, God brought some good men into my life that needed a consultant with my abilities, and I began to work with them. At least this was not a 24/7 business.

I began to have a hunger for the truth from the Bible. I wanted to know what it said and what it meant. I began to enroll part time in some bible courses. I still had evenings and weekends for my family. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn. I enrolled in some courses with the Institute of Biblical Studies and completed them.

Then I was given an opportunity to work in an apartment ministry, and put to use the information that I had learned.
After that, I worked in a prison ministry, and a ministry in an after-care center for those who had just been released from prison.

I have been a mentor and a Sunday School teacher.

There is nothing I love more than teaching people God's word.

There is nothing more rewarding than for someone to tell me, 'When I see you, I see Jesus'.

Have you ever thought that He doesn't need you to serve Him.
Have you ever thought that He is the creator of all that exists?
Have you ever thought that He gives, you receive.
How about He is the shepherd and you are the sheep. Have you ever heard of a sheep helping a shepherd? No! And you never will.

Acts 17:24 "The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;
Acts 17:25 neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all life and breath and all things;

Psa 50:10 "For every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.
Psa 50:11 "I know every bird of the mountains, And everything that moves in the field is Mine.
Psa 50:12 "If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all it contains.

OLAY!

Why do I love Him? Simple, He first loved me. As I grow in my walk with Him, I am more and more drawn to His loving embrace. I cannot live a day, hour, minute or second without Him - He is the one who has given me everything I have, every breath that I take, every sunrise and sunset, the people in my life, the dew on the roses, the mist on the mountains, the ocean crashing to shore - how can one separate themselves even one second from Him? Do other things take up room? Of course - I eat, I love, I work - but in all things He is there. So the things that take up my time and room are also filled with Him - He is in all things, in all my time.

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, I belong to the Spiritual Church of Jesus Christ. I follow only the WORDS of my Lord and Savior, the Living Word of God, Jesus Christ.

I love God, the Father, who is in heaven, because he is my Father, and I wish to honor Him.

I serve Him because, He is my Father, and I am one with Him, and He is one with me. His will is my will..

I think of the Father 24/7 365 days a years, the Word of God is in my forehead. Have you ever loved someone so much that you cry everytime you think of them. I want to go home.

Yes I am. Other things take up time and room WITH him not instead. He is my life and my salvation. JESUS IS LORD. I was baptized into the body of Christ. He is my husband as the Church is his bride. I do love him.
