Amusing question
From the point of view of religious person - he (or she if someone prefers) has role in everything, because once I have heard proverb in which was stated that if God stop to think about anything it would stop to exist. So, from that point, He always thinks about every single atom in universe and it's actions.
And, still from same point of view, He said "go and multiply and populate the Earth" (or something like that, I know it in my language).
That would be His positive role.
Unfortunately there is a negative role as well:
Priests during centuries tried and succeeded to convince people that sex is a sin, that any kind of carnal pleasure are sins, etc. so they killed the fun.
But those were the priests and their points of views, not necessarily truth.
And - in words of one of priests, so unlike to others - who can say that there can be sin between husband and wife, when they are one in eyes of God?
Yup, I think that that would be all I have to say upon this subject.

God is the creator of sex, to Adam and Eve; Noah and his family God told them to go and multiply to be fruitful...Sex is best when its done Gods way where he can bless it.

God created a beautiful thing in 'sex'. However, human beings has perverted sex by having sex outside of marriage as well as homosexual relationships.
