what would it be like to live in an uninhabited place, such as a remote island, describe what you think your life would be like on an uninhabited island. How you would go about getting food, clothing, and shelter needed to survive.

I hope this remote island never gets bad weather. If it does the first thing I would be looking for is a cave or some natural form of shelter that would survive a large storm. Next I would go about gathering firewood and placing it inside the dry cave to use when needed. A fire is going to be an important survival tool. If edible plants are obvious (coconuts bananas etc) I would collect enough to provide the energy I would need to do the work required to survive and use some of it as decoys to trap small animals to eat.

Then I would need to design a weapon and some tools to protect myself and catch my food and clothing. Without having the luxury of being fully equipped I would probably be forced to use the fire I create as my first weapon (torch) and scavenge a lot of what I need from the dead carcasses of animals killed by competing predators until I am better able to hunt for myself. Sinew and bones for making string and tools, meat to cook and eat. I would smash some of the bones to create tools like knives and needles. Then using the sinews of the animal I would sew together the tanned hide into clothing.

I would also need to gather and test different plants to see what was edible, being careful not to poison myself in the process. (very small samples, then see what happens)

Eventually I would build an beach chair and spend my days lounging on my private beach masturbating and wishing that the swedish bikini models would wash up on my lonely island.

;-)

It would very much be like the movie Castaway or the show Survivor.

For an interesting read, try Robinson Crusoe, by Daniel Defoe
