I need to dye my hair, and I've found a bottle that's already been mixed in my cupboard, but it's about 3 weeks old, is it still safe to use? And if not, why not?

No the chemicals inside may have evaporated and it will make your hair messed up.

I think that it's safe to call it quits with the old hair dye. Play it safe by simply purchasing a new one. Ya never know when or even if it went bad.

I think when they are mixed the chemicals can explode ,you should only mix the amount you are going to use leave the rest in there own bottles and mix them when needed,.

Check the expiry date on the bottom or somewhere around the package. Should also say weather or not to use on the package.
Personally I wouldn't use it because the chemicals in it could have gone flat by now and might not give the expected result.

dump it your hair will turn out wrong i remember i left a dye like that for a while in a press when i went to throw it out it exploded all over me and the room such a mess so that cant be a good thing for your hair

Is possible to use it but result not perfect as the chemical is difference which is why they seperate it in packing.Once the chemical dye is mixed you have to use it imidately there no way u can keep it unless u did not mix them together...

No do not use it, it should be thrown away. I'm not sure of the exact science behind it but I think it may have something to do with the fact that because it is old, the chemicals will not be as effective as they would be if they were fresh.

once the dye has been exposed to oxygen it will go weak,so u wont get the lift and if it was exposed for a while without lid the dye is no good !BEST bye a new colour.

Don't use it! It alway say on the instructions that sye must be used immediately, something to do with the chemicals reacting with each other. Anything could happen!
Go and buy a new one!

NO After one hour, mixed hair dye looses its potency.
