I'm not a vet, but, I have raised a lot of dogs. You would probably do good to get your dog to a vet for diagnosis and treatment.

Our little hound will eat his toys. The plastic doesn't sit well and he will throw the whole thing up. Also, our neighbors dog ate the fuzzy stuff off a tennis ball and it wouldn't come up - the vet had to go in and get it. If she throws up for a while, I would definately take her into the vet. Our neighbors dog ate: The tennis ball, the remote control, a needle & thread, the garbage bag, the fuzz balls from the lint trap. She is a lab - she also ate the blanket the vet gave her to lay on while in the hospital.

Sometimes if your pooch doesn't feel well it will eat grass to make itself vomit. But what I'm worried about is heart worms.. Is your dog on heart guard?? It's a heart worm preventative. all dogs need this monthly, it's very important. First your dog with just throw up then eventually throw up blood with large worms in it. The worms are eating the dogs heart away and the animal will die. I'm not saying that's what's wrong with your pup but if he's not on preventative then it's possible. Please take your dog to the vet. because there is a heart worm treatment he could do if your dog has heart worms. Good luck, meanwhile, make sure your dog gets lots of cold water to drink so he doesn't get dehydrated.
