I think flavored water is one. I mean by the time they flavor it, it is no longer water. I wonder how many of the pro murder people realize this but, stubbornly ignore the other?

The one that always gets to me is calling it a "fetus," not a baby. Fetus sounds all nice and scientific and sterile. . .oh no, we're not killing a baby. We're just disposing of a fetus (or, worse still) a "blob of tissue."

I find it odd that if you kill that blob of tissue five minutes before it's born, you're performing an abortion. Kill that same blob of tissue five minutes after it's born, and you've murdered a baby.

And abortion isn't killing a baby -- it's a medical procedure. It may be pro-choice for one of the two people involved, but the one who stands to lose the most has no say in the matter whatsoever.

As far as I can tell, the human race has an almost infinite capacity to fool itself into believing whatever is expedient. The language of abortion is a prime example of that.

Edit:

Thanks to everyone who gave me a thumbs-down for a 'bad' answer. I know I'm on the right track when I hit a nerve with a reply like this.

The only One Whose opinion really counts will give the ultimate Thumbs-Up on the day of judgement to those who defended the rights of the unborn, the elderly, and the handicapped.

WHAT?!?!? How do you just casually slip in that pro choice is a term that hides the truth??? You think it means pro abortion?? Because I am NOT pro abortion but I am pro choice- I never would or could have an abortion and if my friend wanted to I would try to help them find other options but I do think it's their choice and should continue to be- nobody should be able to make choices about your body other than you!! BTW I don't know any terms that hide the truth. Oh wait I do have one- fun sized candy bars- how is a smaller candy bar the "fun" size?

Most euphemisms are attempts to make the truth a little more paletable, or appear as something else, and are similar to 'oxymorons'.

My favorites are Army Intelligence and Economy Size and Religious Science.

So... how many people have you called pro-murder for conceiving a child via IV fertilization?

Give it up already. You're probably one of those people that think its okay to kill the doctor who performs abortions to defend all the helpless fetuses.

You mean like "Pro-life" is really just "Anti-choice?" That's a good one.

The pro murder crowd doesn't want to have to look at themselves in the mirror.

My God is that going to be a rude awakening for them.
