No, that's a logical fallacy similar to saying that being pro-choice means you advocate killing babies.
Everybody wants clean land, water and air. But not everybody agrees on how to accomplish that, or at what cost it should be accomplished. However, programs to clean the water and air have been in place for decades. Unfortunately, many of these have been politicized to a point of uselessness.
But as for global warming, the proof isn't there that man has made a significant impact. Numerous scientists say that the evidence doesn't support that claim. And there has not been any open scientific debate about it, which is the most shameful aspect of all.
What is required is for everybody to support open scientific inquiry into this aspect of global warming, because it has NOT been established as fact.
This is very different from the long-standing efforts to clean the environment.

NO, how are the two linked at all?
Dirty air & water, there is a direct connection between them and pollution. Global warming is a THEORY.
Please explain how during the 1970s the same people that are promoting the global warming movement were promoting the theory that a new ice age, man induced, was about to ravage the earth.
Since the beginning of mankind there have always been apocalyptists predicting the end of the world. Many have used the threat of changing weather as the focal point of their vision of the coming apocalypse.

What does man-induced global warming have to do with dirty water and air?
I believe we should be grateful stewards of this earth, which would mandate taking care of the water and air. We should also use our resources, like oil, wisely and not wastefully. But there is nothing we can do about the sun's cycles of radiation. We can, however, prepare for warming by building better buildings and incorporating techniques and technology to conserve water.

No. That's a flawed conclusion. First, of all global warming - if it even DOES exist (we've only been recording the earth's temperature for what, 40-60 years?) - may have absolutely nothing to do with what man does on this planet. Remember hearing about the ice ages?? At some point in time it got REAL COLD on the earth. That had nothing to do with anything man did. Then the ice MELTED. How did that happen? Obviously the earth got a bit WARMER. DId man have anything to do with THAT GLOBAL WARMING?? NO!
The earth MOST LIKELY has a certain cycle to it, with warm periods and ice ages. In other words, it is more likely that global warming is ABSOLUTELY NORMAL AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MAN.
THAT BEING SAID ... We ABSOLUTELY should do a better job of decreasing pollution, water spoilage, environmental cleanup, etc. But NOT because of some BULLSH*T theory!!!

Disbelief in global warming does not mean you are advocating pollution. A person can be an environmentalist even if he does not believe in global warming by participating in activities to clean the communities of garbage.

No. I think we need to be good stewards of the planet and I feel that we definitely should be better stewards. Global warming is solar cycle induced and this false hysteria should be stopped. Then a sound, reasonable approach to improving our stewardship can be and should be implemented.

Nope. I believe in good stewardship. I also believe it's egotistical to think we are responsible for and able to control the climate of the planet. There are so many factors involved other than mankind. But I still recycle and save on energy when I can. I even eat the cows that are producing all the methane gasses.

I believe there is global warming that is NATURE induced and MAN aggravated. I have recycled since 1967. Stop asking such stupid questions.

You're stating a fallacy, one thing does not mean the other. While this "global warming" theory may not be necessarily true, I'm certain that us humans hava a great impact in the enviroment. We should all be aware and change many of our ways.

It does seem to be a big waste of time arguing about the theory. It should be obvious to everyone that we need to be better stewards of the earth and do the the things that can clean our air and water. Large corporations have turned this into something political because they don't like the additional costs they might have to pay. Less emissions are good for everyone.
