Detectives are police officers that have the job of putting together what happened. Lawyers try to get their client out of it no matter how innocent or guilty they may be.

actually lawyers look for ways to win for thier clients, they do not care who is guilty or not, they are to get them off no matter way,

The detective only looks for the facts, regardless if it proves or disproves a certain persons innocent or guilt

Lawyers are paid to win, in spite of facts, detectives are to find the facts

A detective twists the evidence to prove guilt, and a lawyer tries to twist the facts to disprove guilt. Both are crooks and probably deserve to be behind bars for playing hide and go seek with the system.

Detective interview witnesses, gather evidence, and make arrests. Lawyers debate the evidence, argue facts, and make sure that legal procedure is followed in a court of law. Detectives have no power or permission to argue in a court of law.

Definately not the same thing....you've been watching too much law and order, in real life DA's would never do that type if investigation....although sometimes you might get a rambunctious new defense attorney out to make a name for himself do that for a case or too, but then they stop as well.
