Great, informative, venue listings.
The problem with that site is alot of those venues tend to overprice a little because they do alot of weddings.
Another idea is so go through one of the websites like hotels.com and actually go to the hotels website and see if they do weddings.
Monterey is beautiful...
Maybe look into the santa cruz mountains, as well? If i remember right, they have a place to do weddings. Heres a few suggestions I found: http://www.possibility.com/cruzmountains/Weddings.html
Goodluck!

I live on the Central Coast of CA, and I agree with the other answer: Avila, Pismo, Cambria, and Morro Bay are all great places we have here to get married. I know you and your guests would have to travel a few hours, though, and if that's a problem, I would look into any place on the coast nearest to you. The beach is naturally beautiful, and sometimes the packages hotels offer are a better deal than if you have to take care of every detail... and it's easier, because they take care of a lot of things for you! Good luck.

Wow, I've been through this before! Call the Napa Visitor's Center or the Chamber of Commerce. Lots of crap going on right now about wineries holding weddings. But there are still some that do them because they have the right permits. Do you have anyone in your families that own a vineyard? You could get married there, my cousins did that both times here in Napa. There are places that will do it, let me know if I can look something up for you, it's beautiful here.

whatever you do do not use the dublin ranch golf course!!! sure they have great food and a nice view, but the "coordinator" for the place is a biotch!! seemed helpful untill they had our money! refused to help us out or help us come up with solutions to our growing guest and food problems. they charged our guests for sodas when we specifically stated we were paying for it.
try some golf courses in your area. or go to some bridal fairs. they have them all the time out here. you will most likely find a nice place from one of the vendors.
